Flashcards for Life ("we", "us") lets you create, organize and review flashcards. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account information: your email address and a securely hashed password, used to sign you in.
- Your content: the cards, images, notes, concept groups, study tags and review schedules you create.
- Settings: your review series, reminder preferences, reminder time and time zone.
- Basic technical data: our hosting and database providers keep standard logs (such as IP address and request times) to run and secure the service.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your cards for advertising.
How we use it
- To provide the service: store your cards and sync them across your devices.
- To send emails you ask for: account confirmation, password resets, and review reminders if you turn them on.
- To keep the service secure and working, and to fix problems.
Who can see your data
Your cards and images are private to your account. Database rules prevent other users from reading them. We use these service providers to run the app, and they process data only on our behalf:
- Supabase: database, sign-in and image storage
- Cloudflare: website hosting
- Resend: sending reminder emails (only if you turn reminders on)
Your choices
- Export: download all your cards and images at any time from the account menu.
- Delete content: erase all your cards, groups and images from the account menu.
- Reminders: turn email reminders off in the Review tab at any time.
- Delete your account: contact us and we will delete your account and all its data.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete content or your account, it is removed from our active systems; backups held by our providers expire on their normal schedule.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you in the app or by email for significant changes.
